Guides on the CAT exam and the calculator built into it. What the CAT is, how the on-screen calculator works, and why a cat calculator simulator helps your score.
CAT is the computer-based entrance exam for MBA and PGP programs at the Indian Institutes of Management. One exam, three sections, 120 minutes, and since 2015 a calculator built into the test window that you will be clicking on exam day. Here is what the exam actually looks like.
On exam day your arithmetic happens inside a small window that floats over the question area. It opens from a button in the test interface, accepts at most 8 digits per entry, and only responds to mouse clicks. If you have never practiced on it before the real test, the section clock is a hard place to learn a calculator.
